Beasiswa dari NTU dan NUS

Beasiswa S1 NTU Singapura – Telah dibuka pendaftaran penerimaan mahasiswa baru tingkat strata 1 (s1) di Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapura bagi alumni SLTA tahun 2009 atau akan lulus SLTA tahun 2010 nanti. Pendaftaran dibuka sejak Oktober sampai 01 April 2010.

Pilihlah NTU untuk dapatkan pengalaman mahasiswa sarjana strata 1 (s1) anda.

Pendaftaran Untuk Program Sarjana strata 1 (S1)

Pendaftaran untuk program S1 tahun ajaran 2009/2010 akan dibuka dari Oktober 2009 sampai April 2010 bagi warga negara Indonesia yang telah menyelesaikan SMA Ujian Akhir Nasional (UAN) atau akan menyelesaikan pada tahun 2010.

Para pendaftar yang memiliki rekor akademis dan aktivitas ekstra-kurikuler yang luar biasa juga dapat mendaftar untuk beasiswa yang disediakan bagi siswa asal Indonesia. Beasiswa tersebut antara lain:

  • Beasiswa ASEAN
    Beasiswa ini diberikan untuk mahasiswa NTU yang berasal dari negara-negara ASEAN.
  • Beasiswa Nanyang
    Beasiswa ini ditujukan untuk mahasiswa asal Indonesia yang memiliki prestasi akademik atau ekstra kurikuler yang luar biasa.
  • Sembcorp Undergraduate Scholarship
    Beasiswa ini ditujukan bagi mahasiswa Indonesia S1 masa studi 4 tahun selama belajar di NTU.

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is a graduate school of the National University of Singapore consistently ranked amongst the top 30 universities in the world by QS World University Rankings 2008. *Master in Public Administration *

The MPA programme is a one-year degree for mid-career professionals with more than five years of professional experience. The MPA is designed to enhance the effectiveness of mid-career professionals from the public, private and non-profit sectors in addressing complex, multidimensional policy issues. The MPA programme places great emphasis on management and decision-making.

*Master in Public Policy *

The MPP programme is a two-year degree for young professionals with 1-5 years of experience. Students learn the fundamental skills of public policy analysis from the disciplines of politics, economics, and public management. They also have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of a specific area by electing to focus their studies on one of five specializations:


1. Development Studies;

2. Economic Policy and Analysis;

3. International Relations and Security Studies;

4. Social and Environmental Policy; and Public Management
and Governance.

Finally to provide an element of direct practical experience, MPP students undertake a public policy or management study (the Policy Analysis Exercise) for a client in the public, private or non-profit sector.

*Double Degree Opportunities at Columbia University, LSE or Sciences Po*

The MPP programme also offers the invaluable opportunity for qualifying students to obtain a double degree from the LKY School as well as from one of our partner institutes which include Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and Institut Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). Students spend one year in Singapore and the second year in New York, London or Paris, and quite often the school provides full-funding for the students to study there.

Dr. Oh-Seok Hyun, a Korean national, is currently President of the Korea Development Institute (KDI), a leading think tank of Korea.

Formerly, he was a professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He is a member of the Presidential National Competitiveness Council, Prime Minister's International Development Cooperation Committee, FTA Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Free Economic Zone Committee of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy. Dr. Hyun served as Chairman of NPSO (the Non-governmental Public Serving Organization) Evaluation Board. He has been President of the Institute for International Trade, Korea International Trade Association and a member of the Presidential Commission on Policy Planning.

Membuat Telur Terapung

Sejak tanggal 26 Desember 2009, kami membuka taman bacaan di rumah. Selain membaca dan meminjam buku, anak-anak juga bermain dan membuat percobaan-percobaan. Salah satunya adalah membuat telur bisa terapung di atas air.

Mau tahu caranya?

1. Cucilah sebutir telur, lalu masukkan ke dalam stoples bening yang sudah diisi air.
2. Masukkan garam dengan sendok sedikit demi sedikit lalu aduk. Hasilnya? Telur yang semula tenggelam di dasar stoples ternyata bisa mengapung lho.
3. Jika air garam diganti lagi dengan air tawar, si telur akhirnya kembali tenggelam.

Hal-hal semacam itu sungguh menakjubkan buat anak-anak. Mau mencobanya di rumah?
