Harvard University

MIT OpenCourseWare (MIT OCW) is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to put all of the educational materials from its undergraduate- and graduate-level courses online, free and openly available to anyone, anywhere, by the end of the year 2007. MIT OpenCourseWare can be considered as a large-scale, web-based publication of MIT course materials. The project was announced in October 2002. This project is jointly funded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and MIT. The initiative has encouraged a number of other institutions to make their course materials available as open educational resources.

As of November 2007, over 1800 courses were available online. While a few of these are limited to chronological reading lists and discussion topics, a majority provided homework problems and exams (often with solutions) and lecture notes. Some courses also include interactive web demonstrations in Java or Matlab, complete textbooks written by MIT professors, and streaming video lectures.

As of August 2008, of the over 1800 courses available, only 26 included complete video lectures, and not all of these have complete lecture notes. The lack of lecture notes makes it difficult to follow some lectures, for example, when the lecturer is referring to slides being projected in the lecture hall. The selection of available courses is somewhat incomplete. For example, prerequisite classes for a given course are frequently not available. However, the quality of those courses which include complete materials is very high, and many of the lecturers are extremely compelling. The video is available in streaming mode, but may also be downloaded for viewing offline, though the procedure for downloading is not explicitly given. Many video and audio files are also available from iTunes U.

Profile Sekolah di Kota Banjar

Profile Sekolah di Kota Banjar

A school (from Greek σχολή (scholē), originally meaning "leisure", and also "that in which leisure is employed", "school"), is an institution designed to allow and encourage students (or "pupils") to learn, under the supervision of teachers. Most countries have systems of formal education, which is commonly compulsory. In these systems, students progress through a series of schools. The names for these schools vary by country (discussed in the Regional section below), but generally include primary school for young children and secondary school for teenagers who have completed primary education.

In addition to these core schools, students in a given country may also have access to and attend schools both before and after primary and secondary education. Kindergarten or pre-school provide some schooling to very young children (typically ages 3-5). University, vocational school, college or seminary may be available after (or in lieu of) secondary school. A school may also be dedicated to one particular field, such as a school of economics or a school of dance. Alternative schools may provide nontraditional curriculum and methods.

There are also non-government schools, called private schools. Private schools may be for children with special needs when the government does not supply for them; religious, such as Christian Schools, Khalsa Schools, Torah Schools and others; or schools that have a higher standard of education or seek to foster other personal achievements. Schools for adults include institutions of corporate training and Military education and training.

In homeschooling and online schools, teaching and learning take place outside of a traditional school building.

Pendidikan Sains terpadu (Science for All)

By Achmad Samsudin

A. Perumusan Masalah
a. Latar Belakang Masalah
Pendidikan Sains terpadu (Science for All) lahir karena adanya ketimpangan skema berpikir holistik terintegrasi (menyeluruh dan terpadu) mengenai Sains.

No Aternatif Solusi Efektivitas Efesiensi Kelaikan Skor
Teknis Biaya Waktu
1
Diadakan pelatihan guru tentang pendidikan Sains terpadu. 85 85 80 90 90 430
2

Beasiswa Jepang

( Dari kiri ke kanan) Ketua Komite Pelaksana Bpk. Gobel, Menlu Hassan Wirajuda, Menteri Perhubungan Bpk. Yusman Syafii Jamal, dan Dubes Ebihara. )

Beasiswa Jepang

Memilih Sekolah

Foreign students can enroll in one of five types of institutions of higher learning: universities (undergraduate courses), graduate schools, junior colleges, special training colleges (post-secondary courses) and colleges of technology. Because each student may have a different reason for choosing to study in Japan, you should clarify your objective before selecting a school.

  • Do you want to earn a degree or conduct long-term research?
  • Do you want to acquire proficiency in the Japanese language through study at a Japanese-language institute or preparatory Japanese language courses established by private universities?
  • Do you want to acquire a certain specialized skill?
Once you have clarified your objective, you can then find the educational institute that is most suitable for attaining your goal.

Universities

There are about 765 universities in Japan, including national, public and private ones. The length of study in an undergraduate university is four years with the exception of medicine, dentistry and veterinary science department, which require six years of study.

For information regarding undergraduate courses at specific universities, please refer to the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) web site.

Graduate School

The length of study in a graduate school depends on whether you are matriculated in a master's program or doctor's program.

Master's program: lasts for two years.

Doctor's program: lasts for five years.

Generally, the doctor's program is divided into the first period (two years; applicable to the above-mentioned master's program) and the latter period (three years). However, the length of study for the doctor's program in medicine, dentistry and veterinary science (entered upon after completion of the six-year undergraduate courses in medicine, dentistry or veterinary science) is four years. Some universities offer doctor's programs covering the full five years while others offer only the final three years.

For information regarding specific graduate schools, please refer to the Asian Students Cultural Association web site.

Junior Colleges

The length of study is two years or three years depending on the department. The majority of department are those related to home economics, humanities, education and sociology.

Special Training Colleges

Special training schools that offer post secondary courses are called special training colleges. Such schools are positioned as higher educational institutions in Japan. They provide vocational education as well as education in the skills, technology and knowledge needed in life. The length of study is one year or more, but most courses are two years in length.

For information regarding special training colleges, please refer to the Metropolitan Tokyo Professional Institution Association web site.

Serunai wajah mungil dan Kuasa Bunda

Wajah kecil mungil itu terus membayangi jiwa kebapakanku
Mengiring alir semangat terus dan terus……
Tangisan pagi….dini hari menyeru lail ayah dan ibu…..
Retorika kebahasaan paduan simungil dan ibu menggugah semangat diri
Sungguh analogi erat , menyimpan ribu hikmah

Teduh canda kecerian kecil meruang bahasa batin
Penyejuk kelelahan hati disela ricuh dunia.
Merebah segala peluh kala simungil dalam dekap
Ia pun polos
Meraba janggut
Memandangi wajah sang ayah begitu lugu
Bercakap jua penuh semangat walau ayah pekat bingung mengartikan
Bercanda ia kembali
Mengorek semangat ayahanda dari lelah bekerja menantang hari

Tulisan ini aku hadiahkan Buat abu mahdi….
Senyuman mahdi adalah do'a pemompa semangatmu
……..
Semangat
Do'a
Harapan …yang tulus penuh arti

Bandara hati

Ketika ibu
Ku
Menyambut kedatanganku dibandara kasih

Menutup rapat
Bahkan memendam dalam itu semua

Andailah belum mampu memanis kata dihadapnya
Dia sang pemilik hati…….
