Djuanda University was established under Decree No. PSPI Foundation Board: 83/YPSPI/III/87 dated March 21, 1987. The idea to establish a Higher Education Institution in the form of the University who later named the University of Djuanda (UNIDA).
Then on May 1, 1987, the Governing Body Foundation raised Prof. PSPI. Dr. Asikin Natasasmita, M.Sc. as the first Rector of the University of Djuanda for the period 1987-1991.

Board of Trustees
Board of Trustees is a public figure who took part to solve the problems and development of universities, especially with regard to funding issues. Board members are appointed by the leadership of higher education, while administrators chosen among the members of the Board.
Leaders of Higher Education
Leaders of Higher Education is a responsibility in the management of universities. Forms, qualifications and structure depending on the nature and form of higher education institutions, such as: Universities, Institutes, Colleges, Academies and so forth.
Education Workforce
Consisting of faculty and academic support personnel:
a). Lecturer
Lecturer is a person who on the basis of considerations of education and expertise, is appointed by the head organizer with the main task of universities to teach at universities concerned.
b). Academic Support Workers
Academic Support Worker is based on the power of education and expertise colleges appointed by the organizers with the main task as researchers, educational developers, librarians, laboratory technicians, and learning resources.
Implementing Academic
Organizers are academic faculty at the University which is the institutional elements that function to coordinate or implement education and academic and professional or in a branch or a set of science, technology and / or the arts. Programs are under the Faculty of institutional elements that function and carry out academic or professional education in part or set of branches of science, technology and / or the arts. Laboratory / Studio is the institutional element which is a device supporting the implementation of education in the majors.
Implementing Administrative
Tool that organizes technical and administrative services required in the management of resources and programs for the university level is divided several bureaus.
Support Elements
Form of an organizational unit that functions as a support for the implementation of an academic called Technical Executive Unit (UPT) with faculty positions outside, such as: Computer Unit, Library Unit, Unit of Experimental Farm, practical and UPT UPT Language Facility.
University Senate
The Senate is the representative body of normative high on college faculties and in the environment.
UNIVERSITY Tridharma
The primary mission of community colleges is to produce scientific integrity. In these efforts, the main basis of educational programs at the college are three responsibilities of Higher Education, namely:
1. Education
Preparing students to be members of the public who have academic ability and / or professionals who can implement, develop and / or creating science, technology, developing and disseminating science, technology, and strive to improve their use of community life and enrich the national culture.
2. Research
Efforts to produce empirical knowledge, theory, concepts, methodologies, models or information that aims to enrich science and technologies
3. Community Services
Efforts to practice the science and technology conducted by the college are institutionalized or directly to the community to improve their welfare. Target dedication to community activities aimed at the wider community in the form of providing information, consultation, guidance and training for his position.
